How We Review AI Tools

Our goal is to help freelancers, creators, agencies and small businesses choose AI tools with clear explanations of what each product can—and cannot—do for their work.

What we consider

  • Actual use case: the business problem a tool is meant to solve.
  • Ease of use: learning curve, setup requirements and operational complexity.
  • Integrations: whether the tool works with common workflows and systems.
  • Price and limitations: plans, constraints, cancellation considerations and what is excluded.
  • Alternatives: situations where a different product may be a better fit.

Research versus hands-on testing

Some of our reviews are based on official product documentation, published pricing and practical use-case research. Others may include hands-on testing or examples. We aim to state which evidence was used and do not present documentation-only research as original testing. Screenshots or demonstrations should be identified accurately.

Affiliate relationships

We may receive commissions from some software providers through referral links. Affiliate availability is not the sole factor in recommendations and does not guarantee a favorable verdict. Read our Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and updates

AI tools change quickly. We may revise features, plan information, screenshots and recommendations as new information becomes available. To report a factual error, send a link and details through our Contact page.
